Facilitated by Oncology Massage Limited, qualified Beauty Therapists will learn how to safely and effectively work within a beauty therapy setting with people in frail health, especially those with a history or diagnosis of cancer.
This two-day course explains how cancer forms and spreads, what living with cancer involves, the side effects of cancer treatments, contraindications relevant to touch therapy treatments and medical devices, and how gentle touch works through the fascia and nervous system. Students will also leave with three practical massage sequences – lower body, upper body, head and neck – that can be used as an alternative or adjunct to beauty therapy treatments.
You must be a qualified beauty therapist to attend this course.
Please note that this course is not nationally recognised.
