Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50115)

To achieve the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, a total of 25 units of competency must be completed. These consist of 13 core units and 12 elective units, including at least 8 specialist electives. A comprehensive list of the units of competency is found below.

endota Wellness College has a selection of specialist units including advanced facials, Brazilian waxing and massage, reflexology and Indian scalp massage. Our student-run spa gives you the opportunity to gain vital practical experience alongside your theoretical classroom knowledge making you job-ready upon graduation.



Part-time: 2 evenings per week for a period of 16 – 18 months, plus 1 monthly weekend workshop, plus ‘in spa’ hours.
Full-time: 4 days per week for a period of 12 months, plus ‘in spa’ hours.
Both full and part-time students are expected to complete 76 hours of work experience.


Student-run spa

endota Wellness College operates a student-run spa on a not-for-profit basis. This spa is designed to enable students to gain valuable work experience treating clients in a professional work environment, while being guided and supervised by a professional educator. There’s no better way to develop your confidence and reinforce your new skills.



Our schedule of tuition fees are published here. This program is VET Student Loans approved. Payment plans are available that allow you to pay your tuition fees in instalments and by specified due dates. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. Eligibility criteria apply. The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.



SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy has two intakes per course per year. Both daytime and evening programs are available. Students have a one week break between terms and a Christmas break. Courses are scheduled by term and are scheduled as closely to the state/territory school holidays as possible. In some instances, term dates may be extended beyond the state/territory term periods.


Resource costs

Resource costs vary from year to year. In 2019, these costs are: Robe and Headband $43.55, personal endota COLOUR™ makeup kit $176.80, full components of a therapist uniform $220, manicure and pedicure kit $100.19 and custom endota Wellness College textbooks $240.



Students will need to demonstrate that they hold the level of language, learning and numeracy competency skills suitable to complete this course.

Our campuses

endota Wellness College campuses are located in Mitchell, ACT and Docklands, VIC. Our study environments consider student wellness and are bright and spacious with meditation sessions to start each day. We provide students with beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities including three purpose-built makeup training studios, a photographic studio, multi-purpose area and large beauty treatment room. Each student has an individual workstation that includes industry standard equipment, products and tools. Direct access to a student-run spa provides a practical way to gain work experience and master techniques.

endota Wellness College online

An online system at endota Wellness College provides students with access to all their course materials in a single place. This includes textbooks, presentations, images, videos and course notes. With over 48 boards on our Pinterest page, you will never be left searching for ideas or inspiration. We also provide access to assignments and have an easy upload system for assessment submission. This complements your class-room learning and ensures you have all the information you need at your fingertips. Students will need to have a tablet or laptop to access endota Wellness College’s learning management systems, a mobile phone is not an acceptable device.

VET Student Loans

endota Wellness College is an approved provider of VET Student Loans. This means eligible students can defer payment of their tuition fees by accessing a government loan. It forms part of the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). Students repay their loan through the tax system, once they are earning the minimum threshold level for repayment, which is $45,881 for the 2019-20 income year.

A VET Student Loan remains a personal debt obligation until it is repaid to the Commonwealth. VET Student Loans will only be approved for students who meet the eligibility criteria. Only a limited number of high quality providers have been approved. This means you can be rest assured that endota Wellness College is a trusted, quality training provider and your learning is in good hands.

Recognition of prior learning

Previous work experience or training courses may enable us to deem you competent in certain areas, which will allow exemption from some modules. This process is referred to as ‘Recognition of Prior Learning‘ (RPL). As a Registered Training Organisation, delivering nationally recognised training, endota Wellness College can assist you with this process. Please contact a course advisor to request an application form. Application for RPL must occur prior to course commencement.
